He is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Studies at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli-Tamil Nadu, India and 12 years of teaching experience. His academic journey culminated with B.Com, M.Com in AJ College, Sivakasi under Madurai Kamaraj University. He has done his MBA, M.Phil in Pondicherry University and Ph.D from University of Hyderabad. He has worked at GITAM University-Bangalore, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University-Madhya Pradesh, KL University-Vijayawada and Lovely Professional University-Punjab. He has published more than 66 research papers in National and International Journals on UGC Care list, Scopus, ABDC, and SSCI. He has organized National and International Conference and Workshops as well as participated more than 100 seminars. He also conducted Seminar receiving funds from ICSSR-SRC Hyderabad. He also presented more than 85 papers, as well as published 4 Edited Volume Book along with patent and copy rights. His research endeavours primary focus on Accounting and Finance, Financial Services, FinTech, Securities Markets. Beyond his research contributions, he actively engages in various roles within the academic community. He has served as a Member in Technical Committee, Advisory Board, Editorial Board Member, Reviewer, Faculty Selection Committee, Question Paper Setter, External Examiner, Observer in National Testing Agency, Session Chair, Chief Guest Speaker, etc. He also guided and awarded four Ph.D under his guidance and Received Two Best Paper Award in the International Conference paper presentation and visited abroad.

Prof. Alok Kumar Mishra is Professor of Economics at the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad, an Institution of Eminence, and Visiting Professor at Université Paris Cité, France. He has also served as a Visiting Professor at Heidelberg University, Germany. His work brings together academic research and industry practice. Before joining academia, he held positions in quantitative finance and risk management at the Bank of New York Mellon, Shinsei Bank in Tokyo, Evalueserve and the National Institute of Bank Management. His latest book, Public Finance for Cities: The Benefit Principles from Wicksell to Stiglitz, is published by Oxford University Press. His earlier books include Smart Cities and the Poor: Towards an Agenda for Inclusive Urbanisation in India (Routledge) and Developing Inclusive Cities in India: A Reform Agenda. He has published widely in leading journals, including Social Science & Medicine, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, the European Journal of Operational Research, Discover Sustainability and Economic and Political Weekly, to name a few. His research spans urban economics, municipal finance, open macroeconomics, financial economics, risk management, applied econometrics, and sustainable development. He directed the HUDCO Chair programme on land, housing, transport and urban economics. He leads research and consultancies funded by the Institution of Eminence, ICSSR, UGC, HUDCO, and the World Bank. He has contributed to national policy through expert consultations with the Finance Commission and NITI Aayog, and has guided numerous doctoral scholars. He is the member secretary of the Indian Association of Social Science Institutions and an Associate Editor of many leading journals. His honours include the Young Economist Award, the Chancellor’s Award and the Baden-Württemberg Fellowship.
