Divine, Familial, and Human-Value Inspirations for Artificial Intelligence: A Conceptual Framework Linking Genetic Algorithms, Particle Swarm Optimisation, Artificial Neural Networks, and the Krishna and Rama Archetypes
International Journal of Philosophy, Ethics and Humanities Vol. 1, No. 2 2026 pp. 33–45

https://doi.org/10.64823/ijpeh.2602003

Artificial intelligence (AI) has repeatedly borrowed from nature, biology, and human society: genetic algorithms (GAs) from heredity and evolution, particle swarm optimisation (PSO) from the social behaviour of flocks, and artificial neural networks (ANNs) from the brain. This article proposes a conceptual and philosophical framework that reads these techniques through the lens of Indian spiritual traditions and everyday human relationships. God and human parents serve as the source of inheritance and guidance, Lord Krishna and Lord Rama as archetypes of wise counsel and righteous conduct, and fifteen values and relationships of daily life as design inspirations for learning systems. These ideas are synthesised into a unified construct, FFMBSTANDEMHRKLSPHIAI, expressed as a multi-objective training objective with human-set weights, together with three derived archetypes: Parents-Inspired AI, Krishna AI, and Rama AI. To show that the objective is operational, a small and fully reproducible demonstration embeds a fairness-type value term in the fitness functions of a GA and of PSO on synthetic data. A modest penalty weight reduced a demographic-parity gap by about 87% at a cost of about two percentage points of accuracy, whereas larger weights degraded both criteria, illustrating the value of knowing when “enough” is reached. The framework is metaphorical and heuristic, makes no claim about the historical origin of the algorithms, and is intended to stimulate human-centred, value-aligned, and culturally respectful AI design and subsequent empirical testing.

Six Reflections on Shri Rama: A Devotional and Interpretive Essay
International Journal of Philosophy, Ethics and Humanities Vol. 1, No. 2 2026 pp. 14–32

https://doi.org/10.64823/ijpeh.2602002

Devotion to Shri Rama is often presented as a single, undifferentiated whole, with little attention to how its practices, narratives, metaphysics and ethics relate to one another or to the scriptural sources on which they rest. This essay addresses that problem through six linked reflections that move from the personal to the public: the Divine Name, devotional service, community, the epic narrative, ultimate reality, and just rule. It adopts an interpretive, devotional-hermeneutic approach. Primary texts, namely the Valmiki Ramayana, the Ramcharitmanas, the Adhyatma Ramayana, the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita, are read alongside modern scholarship, and scriptural statements, traditional interpretations and the author’s own reflections are kept distinct. The reflections show that chanting reorients attention and cultivates surrender rather than guaranteeing outcomes; that service is best understood as a disposition rather than employment; that Name-centred communities have documented precedents; that the epic can be retold in condensed devotional form; that Rama can be coherently related to Brahman, Purushottama and dharma within a bhakti-oriented Vedanta; and that the ideal of Rama Rajya can be translated into accountable institutional principles. The essay concludes that these themes form one connected devotional vision, while distinguishing faith-based claims from claims open to scholarly or empirical test.
