The role of innovation for the growth of industry sector has been one of the contended subjects the Ethiopian economy has registered an economic growth in the last is more than 10 years little. Thus, the perspective aims to empirically examine during the period of 1989 to 2018 using: Gross domestic product of industry sectors (GDP), budget expenditure of industry sectors (BEX), natural logarithm Import Capita goods expenditure of industry sectors (LNICG), inflation consumer price of industry sectors (ICP), Total number of Registered patent (NPA) and research and development expenditure of industry sectors (RED) so, The budget expenditure of industry sectors long run relationship negative association with the role of innovation for the growth of industry sector in Ethiopia at 5% level significant, the import capital goods expenditure of industry sectors long run relationship positive association with the role of innovation for the growth of industry sector in Ethiopia at 5% level significant. The result is an indicative of the essential feature of import capital goods expenditure in the economy in a better utilization of resource and decency of other leading countries. Inflation consumer price of industry sectors only short run relationship negative association with the role of innovation for the growth of industry sectors in Ethiopia at 5% level significant of the role of innovation for the growth of industry sectors the sustainable economic growth in Ethiopia. The study implies a major policy implication arising from the results is that role of innovation of industry sectors has a significant impact on the e growth of industry sectors the country during the study 1989-2018 periods and fundamental to the realization of sustained growth of industry sectors in Ethiopia. THE DETERMINANTS OF SELF EMPLOYMENT TVET GRADUATES IN W/RO SIHEEN AND KOMBOLCHA POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE
International Journal of Technology and Emerging Research

The main aim of this study was to investigate the determinants of self-employment of TVET graduates. The sample consists of the years 2014 to 2018 graduates, 196 self-employed & not self-employed and 4 college deans & department heads, 5 education & training core process owner & experts within the T/V/En/Devt Bureau. Both the self-employed & not self-employed graduates were first selected on the basis of kifle-ketema by using systematic sampling technique. Data was collected through a combination of open and closed ended questionnaire, document analysis and semi structured interview. Logistic regression was used to analyze the determinants of self-employment those were among the variables sex, age, training level, field of study, hotel & food preparation, bureaucracy, organizing group, access to finance, accessing to working/selling and attitude were affect significantly. On the other hand marital status, entrepreneur skill and living area were less powerful in affecting self-employment of technical and vocational education trainees. Thus the government and concerned bodies should mobilize access to finance, infrastructure to TVET graduates & create awareness how to support & motivate self-employment participation and conducting a regular monitoring and compliance audits of TVET programs offered to graduates, including corrective measures to ensure TVET provision and continuing compliance with standards of the demands of the labor market.
