Dr. Rishika Verma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Hemavati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand. She completed her B.A. (Hons.), M.A., and Ph.D. in Philosophy from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, where her doctoral research focused on a comparative study of Sāṃkhya Philosophy and Śaṅkara Vedānta. She was also awarded a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at BHU. Her major areas of academic and research interest include Indian Philosophy, Western Philosophy, Yoga, Philosophy of Religion, and Applied Ethics. Dr. Verma has an extensive record of teaching, research, academic writing, and participation in national and international seminars. She has published numerous research papers and contributed chapters to several scholarly books on Indian philosophy, Vedānta, Yoga, ethics, Indian Knowledge Systems, education, environmental ethics, Gandhi, and contemporary philosophical issues. Dr. Verma is also an accomplished author and editor. Her authored books include Yoga ke Vibhinna Aayam, Sāṃkhyadarśana evam Śaṅkaravedānta ka Tulnatmak Adhyayan, Bhamati Prasthan evam Vivaran Prasthan ka Tulnatmak Adhyayan, Abhivyakti: Vicharon se Lekhan Tak ka Safar, and other works. She has also edited books on ethics, Indian Knowledge Tradition, and Indian Knowledge System in the light of NEP 2020. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she has served in editorial and reviewing roles for several national and international journals and has undertaken various academic and institutional responsibilities at HNBGU and other organizations. Her academic contributions have been recognized through several national and international awards and honours. Her scholarly work reflects a sustained effort to connect classical Indian philosophical traditions with contemporary ethical, educational, social, and global concerns.
